AO ACTIE is a non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2004 in the city of Cahul, Republic of Moldova. The main purpose of the Agency for Cross-Border Cooperation and European Integration is to contribute to regional development by supporting cross-border cooperation between organizations and institutions in the Republic of Moldova and external partners.
ACTIE aims to contribute to economic development in the cross-border region within the “Lower Danube” Euroregion. This is achieved through the following specific objectives:
- Building strong cross-border partnerships to solve common problems;
- Human resources development through training and information;
- Increasing access to the labor market, including for socially vulnerable groups;
- Modernizing local infrastructure;
- Developing tourism in the southern region of Moldova;
- Actions that contribute to better environmental protection.
ACTIE plays a key role in cross-border cooperation in the region and has an extensive network of partners in various areas of interest. The organization enjoys support from local authorities, educational institutions, and other local and regional actors, as demonstrated by the joint actions and projects carried out so far.
Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities - UBBSLA
The Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities (UBBSLA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1992. It unites 20 municipalities along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast to promote local self-government, encourage citizen participation, and support regional development. UBBSLA focuses on facilitating cross-border cooperation, attracting international partners, and contributing to the region's economic and environmental development. It also supports municipalities in accessing EU funding, developing strategic plans, and enhancing legislative frameworks for coastal development.
Imereti Scientists’ Union “Spectri” – SPECTRI
Spectri is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 1997 in Georgia. It focuses on fostering sustainable development by addressing issues in education, environment, waste management, energy efficiency, social and health care, and small business development. Spectri collaborates with local communities, governments, universities, NGOs, and international partners such as EU-TACIS, USAID, and UNDP. Its goal is to develop civil society and solve socio-economic and environmental challenges, contributing to a sustainable future for Georgia and its neighboring regions.
